Dude, sweet!

Dude... this is exciting. So I love music and all but I'm too poor and too lazy to like actually go to a concert. Well my BFF Courtney got free tickets to see Hoobastank tonight and she invited me! Sweet! I'm not like a huge fan but I don't hate them either. I'm down for a free concert though. Now my list of concerts I've seen will have more then Yanni and Trans-Siberian Orchestra haha!

Dad & Jax

Ok so are these guys not just the cutest dudes in the world? I'm so lucky to be able to hang out with these guys. Jaxson just loves hanging out with his dad. These two are a lot alike and boy am I glad! I know this might be hard to believe but I have a sort of "high maintenance" personality... lol. Well Mike is so chill all the time. He's funny and smart and he gets along with everyone. I was a little worried about having a kid with my attitude and having to deal with all the crap that comes with it lol. Luckily I have the coolest husband in the world and my kid takes after him which leaves me with the coolest kid in the world too. Guess that makes me a cool mom and wife by association? Eh, it was worth a shot at least lol.

We're going to the lake this weekend and I'm excited. The original plan was to go to Bear Lake but I don't know if we will end up going there. We are considering going to a closer lake like Pineview or something. No matter what though we are going to the lake and we're going to have a picnic lunch and hang out for the day. I love hanging out just the three of us but I think I'm lacking some one on one time with Mike. I miss going to the movies or going out to dinner every once in a while, just the two of us. I think we're going to start having a date night one night a week. Jaxson's grandmas are more than willing to play with him while we go out for a couple of hours. It's really my fault we don't go out as much. I miss Jaxson all day while I'm at work so when I get home I just want to hang out with him instead of sending him off to the sitter's house so Mike and I can go out. But like I said Mike and I are going to set aside one day a week that he and I can get out of the house and do something together.

What A Life

Picture this... This morning I'm standing in my living room. Mike is in the recliner laying down almost asleep with Jaxson at his side. Cena is lying at Mike's feet asleep and Kronk is sleeping on the floor next to the recliner. Mike sees me and asks, "Can you take Jaxson and put him in his bed? He's almost asleep." So I pick up my boy and rock him a little and he falls asleep. During that time Mike has also fallen asleep. So there I am ready for work about to walk out the door and all my boys are asleep in the living room. Something about this seems unfair.... lol
What a life right?

My Two Favorite Guys

I love my boys! Jaxson smiles all the time now so we're getting some cute pictures of him. Man I really wish I could be at home with him all the time! It was really hard to go to work this morning because Jaxson wasn't feeling very well and I wanted to stay and take care of him. He had a little bit of a fever this morning and he had heat rash on his chest when he woke up. Mike said he has been a little fussy today which isn't like him. All you stay at home moms out there should be grateful that you get to spend so much time with your little ones. God knows I would love to be able to be home. I miss that kid!

Growing Up

Here's a cute picture of Jaxson hanging out in his new walker. Grandma Colletti bought this for him. We were looking for a jumper but found this instead. He just loves it! He's not even close to being tall enough to touch the floor but it's all good lol. My little guy is growing up!

Just a Random Update

We had such a great weekend! We went to the Clinton City Heritage Days this weekend and we had a great time. Saturday morning we got up and went to the parade. It was nice at first but then the sun came out and it got really hot really fast. We went to the carnival after the parade with Lexi and Sophie but again it was just too hot for Jaxson to be out there. He got so warm I took a frozen water bottle and wrapped it in a blanket and laid it next to him in the stroller. We decided to go home and go swimming until about 8pm when it was a little cooler. I had my 3 nieces come over and go swimming. Uncle Josh and Lexi and Sophie came too. We had a good time. Later that night we went back to the carnival and Mike and I rode the Zipper which is my FAVORITE carnival ride. It's basically like the Rock-O-Planes at Lagoon. This same carnival has been here for Clinton Heritage Days ever since I can remember and I always look forward to it. I screamed like a child while we were on the ride. Rick made fun of me for it later (he was sitting with Jaxson while we were on the ride). Anyway, after the carnival rides we sat down to enjoy the fireworks. I made Jaxson stay up and watch them even though it was like 2 hours past the time he usually goes to sleep. He seemed interested in them at first but soon decided Dad's phone was more interesting lol. All in all it was a fun experience. Sunday we stayed home and went swimming and played Mario Kart and all that. Monday came waaaaaay too soon. I decided this morning that we should have 5 days off and work 2 days (but still get paid for 5 lol) instead of the other way around. My coworkers agreed... too bad we can't convince H&R Block too lol. I think Mike has some pictures from the weekend on his phone so I'll post them when I get them. Oh yeah, Matt decided to try to eat a tbls of cinnamon yesterday too... we got it on video lol. I'll try to post it later but I don't know how that will work out.

This One Time...

So this one time, I was at work and I was so freaking bored! lol I hate being at work on Friday... especially when it's this beautiful outside! Only 2 more hours til the weekend...

So this weekend should be pretty fun. Clinton City is having their parade and carnival this weekend which includes fireworks tomorrow night. I'm uber excited! We already have our tickets for the rides too.

I need to take a minute to thank Matt McKinley's for the SHOUT out he gave me at Wendy's today. I had lunch with my friend Chelsea today and while I was waiting for her two of my coworkers, Matt and Dennis came in to get some food. In seeing me at a table all by myself, Matt decided he should YELL ACROSS THE ROOM! He so kindly said "WOW LOOK AT HEATHER OVER THERE ALL ALONE. IT MUST SUCK TO BE ALL ALONE AT A TABLE EATING BY YOURSELF. IT'S NOT LIKE YOU'RE A LOSER OR ANYTHING!!" Of course everyone else in the restaurant is now looking at me smiling and laughing. One of these patrons actually thought he should comment on the situation as well saying "Yeah that's your worst nightmare when you come to eat by yourself is having someone like him come in." For the record I was NOT eating alone lol. I was waiting for Chelsea. Once Chelsea arrived Matt thought it was necessary to point out to everyone that I was not in fact lying about having a friend, "SHE REALLY DOES EXIST!" Thank you for the memorable lunch experience Matt... that wasn't embarrassing at all...

My Kids

I'm happy to report that we are all healthy! Jaxson had his 4 month checkup yesterday and the doctor said all is well. I never know what those "percentiles" are they always talk about but he said he's 24in and 13.8lbs. Mike and I were way off in our guess of how much he weighed. He said he's average for weight and above average for height and I think he said he was below average for head size... I can't remember now. His head does look kinda small in those pictures. Anyway he said everything is great so we're happy about that. He had to get shots yesterday though which sucked. I hate it when he cries like that. He calmed down pretty fast and was just fine the rest of the night. He went to sleep earlier than normal and slept in a little too. That kid loves his sleep man. I'm excited about tonight because we're going to the movie in the park to see Madagascar 2. We're bringing Jaxson along even though the movie starts right when he usually goes to sleep... we'll see how that goes. Good thing the park is like 5 minutes from our house so if he decides he can't be happy we can leave and it's no biggie. Plus the movie is free so it's not like we're out anything. 4 Months Old Today

Jaxson is 4 months old today! He's growing up fast and Mike and I are loving every moment of it. We have his 4 month appointment on Monday so we will see how he's doing as far as growth and all that. I'm pretty sure he's fine as far as weight goes lol. This weekend Jaxson has another photo shoot with Crystal so pictures to come soon. I thought it would be fun to sit down and think of all the things Jaxson has learned to do up to this point. I know most babies accomplish these things by now but this is my blog and I can write whatever I want! :)

Things Jaxson Has Learned Since Birth

1- How to roll from his belly to his back.

2- How to take his binki out of his mouth.

3- How to hold his own bottle.

4- How to stand up with us just holding his hands.

5- How to talk and coo. He said "baba" yesterday but I'm pretty sure it was just babbling baby talk lol.

6- How to hold his head and chest up when he's on his belly.

7- How to grab onto his toys or our hands and fingers.

8- Who Mom and Dad are. We are definitely his favorites (sorry everybody hehe)

9- How to kick his legs and wiggle himself forward on the floor and sometimes ends up all sideways and skeewompus (pretty sure since that's a slang word anyway it doesn't matter how I spell it so there!).

10-The difference between crying and yelling. He knows how to tell us what's what, even if it's in his own language.

11- How to smile and express excitement with squeaks, squeals and those big bright eyes.

12- That when mom cuddles him with the binki and a blanket it's bed time!

Things Jaxson Likes

1- Mouth noises! This kid loves kissing sounds, tongue clicking, raspberries, you name it.

2- Going upside down.

3- Going swimming with Mom and Dad.

4- Watching TV.

5- Sitting in his Bumbo thingy lol.

6- Spending time with Grandmas and Grandpas (that includes Nanas and Papas).

7-Meeting new people.

8- The baby in the mirror. I still need to get a picture of that...

9- His puppies Kronk and Cena.

10- Grabbing Mom's hair and pulling as hard as possible lol. Now I know why new mom's have the short "mom" hairstyles...

11- Slobbering and drooling on anything and everything he can get to.

12- Flirting with girls. Just ask Courtney how flirty this kid is.

13- Last but not least, this kid LOVES his sleep. I'm such a lucky mom to have a kid that has slept through the night since he was just weeks old. Keep it up buddy! lol

Mike and I are so proud of Jaxson. He has changed our lives for the better and has brought us closer together. We're just so freaking blessed! We have an amazing son, great friends and family, a place to call home and most importantly each other. I couldn't really ask for more.

This is the best picture we got with my family. I really wanted Kronk and Cena in them because they're just as much a part of my family as everyone else. I didn't really think about how hard it would be to get the dogs and Jaxson to look at the camera and not look funny lol.

This little guy is such a sweetie. Anyone that has spent time with him knows he's a good baby. He's content doing just about anything as long as you're close by. I love him!

Hehe he's just so dang cute!

Things are going well with the Colletti family. Mike is back to working for his dad and the chat room is finally up and running so that's great news. Mike sent me this picture of Jaxson he took today. He's such a smiley guy now. He loves to talk and smile and flirt! He's the biggest flirt with my friend Courtney. He freaking loves her. It's adorable. Jax and I went to visit Grandma Wendy (Courtney's mom) yesterday. Courtney and I have been best friends since we were 10 so I know her family really well. We got to see the horses and baby chickens and all that fun stuff (PS if any of you or anyone you know would like some free chickens PLEASE let me know ;). After we visited with them we went back to the house and had a few friends over. One of our favorite things to do at our house is play MarioKart on Nintendo64. We're old school! That's pretty much how it goes though. We have people over, we swim, play volleyball, and eventually end up in front of the TV playing MarioKart. Good times, good times. lol I had so much fun last night I totally thought it was the weekend! I didn't realize it was Tuesday til about 1am lol. It's all good though because having a kid has made me functional on 5 hrs of sleep. Even though Jaxson sleeps through the night he usually wakes up between 5-7am, depending on when he went to sleep and of course as soon as he goes to sleep Mike and I invite the friends over and we stay up late. You only live once though right??? Anyway that's really all I have for now... Peace!

4th of July Weekend

We had a great 4th of July. My holiday started on Thursday when we went to Lagoon. My sisters and mom and Josh were going and I had Mike invite his brother and cousin so he wouldn't be bored lol. We got there right when Lagoon opened and Mike and the guys took off to go ride rides and Jaxson and I were hanging out with the kids and Nana. We all forgot cameras so I don't have any pictures. Well long story short I got a bad headache and ended up calling it a day pretty early but Mike had a really fun time. Friday we were going to go to the lake but that was cancelled so we just had people over and had a BBQ and went swimming. I'm starting to get better at volleyball since that's mostly what we do in the pool. We did some fireworks that night which was cool. Most of the people in my neighborhood do the cool fireworks (yes the illegal ones) so we just kind of hang out in the front yard and enjoy. Saturday meant family pictures... yay! Yeah I wasn't trying to be convincing there lol. We got the whole lot of us together and got some pictures taken out in Ogden. We did individual family pictures too which should be pretty cute. It was a pretty smooth experience til we decided to get a pic of Nana and Papa and all the grandkids. There are ten of them and they're all 5 and under. Yeah that was pretty entertaining to watch lol. Anyway after pictures we just hung out at the house and played mariokart and stuff... we do that a lot it seems... like every weekend lol. Sunday we relaxed in the pool some more. Played volleyball and whirlpool tag (freaking killer workout!). All in all it was a pretty freaking awesome weekend. Totally didn't get pictures of it... Good thing we got family pictures done so I have something to document Jaxson's first 4th of July. Maybe next year he can see a firework or something instead of being super lame and going to sleep... jk
