Pineview Weekend

Last weekend we went camping up at Pineview with our friends Lexi, Denny, Sophie, Tina, her friend Wes and Matt. We got up there at about 2pm Saturday. Mike and I have been sick since Thursday so we were slow-going in the morning. We got up there and went to the lake and played for a little while. We went back to camp and stayed by the fire. We had so much fun that we decided to make it a tradition to go up there every summer. Here are some pictures:

Mike and I. Self-taken photo by ME! I'm getting good at that.

Tina holding Jaxson. Man I love the expressions this kid can make. He's just so freaking adorable.

Sophie adores Jaxson. She says he's her baby. It's so cute. She wanted to hold him. What a cutie.

Lexi holding Jaxson in an accidental cool light lol. Go Mike!

This is my baby boy after the drive home Sunday. He was soooooo tired but he didn't want to go to sleep. Mike was rocking him in the chair as we watched TV.

Jaxson was half awake and he just kept smiling and smiling. He must have been having a good dream or something lol.

We had such a great time camping. We always have a great time with Tina, Lexi and Denny. Well that's all for now!

Random Pictures

Man I love this kid!!!

Bathtime!

These were taken with my phone so again the quality sucks but he's still freaking cute! This kid loves being naked and loves bathtime even more. What a cutie!

Ribbet!

I had to share these pictures because they're just TOO CUTE!

Sophie and Jaxson

Remember how I said my friend Lexi and I were doing the whole baby swap thingy? Well Lexi took some pics of Jaxson last Wednesday when she was babysitting him. She posted them on her blog and I stole them and am posting them too hehe.

Jaxson just loves Denny. He was laughing and giggling up a storm.

Sophie is so freaking cute! She just loves Jaxson and he loves her too. Here's Sophie rubbing butt cream on Jaxson's head lol. Too cute.

Jaxson looks so big in this picture! What the heck happened to the baby I brought home in March?!?! lol

Sick Sucks

Well yesterday sucked lol. Mike woke up yesterday not feeling very well. He took Jaxson over to his mom's house so she could help watch him while he rested. He spent most of the day throwing up anything and everything he tried to eat or drink. A little after lunch I started getting sick too. I ended up throwing up a few times at work and ended up leaving early. I spent the rest of the night laying in bed with Jaxson and Mike stayed in the recliner in the living room. We were a couple of sad people for sure lol. I'm feeling much better today and so far so is Mike. Hopefully it was just a one day thing.

We took some pictures using my cell phone last night while we were laying in bed lol. The pics were taken with my phone so the quality is bad but they turned out pretty cute.

This is supposed to be a pic of Jaxson and Cena fighting over a little basketball. Cena moved when I took the pic lol.

Good look for me right? Freak Jax would you stop moving for just a second?? lol

Another picture of a wiggly baby lol. I was looking through my pictures the other day and I realized I have very few pictures of Jaxson AND me. I have like a million of just Jax. New goal for me: Get in some pictures too! lol
Well that's really all for now. Bye!

Jax Update

My little guy is getting so big! Not only is he growing in size but he's also growing up in looks. He looks nothing like the newborn baby I brought home from the hospital almost 6 months ago. That baby was tiny and wrinkly and brown lol. My guy has filled out those wrinkles and is definitely white like his mama. Jaxson is learning so much so fast it's hard to remember what I've told people already lol. Let's see, I know I posted the other day about how good he is at moving around. He's practically crawling now. He uses his hands really well too. He follows things with his hands and he grabs at stuff all the time (including my hair... must be a favorite thing of his...). He's been eating some baby food regularly for a little while now. He has stuff like pears and applesauce. He likes it but it's not filling enough so we feed him some formula too. I know he has gained weight recently thanks to another growth spurt but I'm not sure of the exact number. it's time for me to go through all his clothes and box up all the things he's too big for. I remember thinking about this time when I first had him. I remember thinking it would be so weird when he's bigger and that I never wanted that moment to come. I still don't lol. Too bad it's already come and is almost gone. Time flies when you're having fun right?!

I like this Date Night thing

Mike and I had our first date night last night and we had such a great time. We started by going to a restaurant we have never been to. We went to Ogden to the new Solomon Center and they have put in some new things since we've been there. We went to dinner at Sonora Grill. I thought it was just a regular place that served like steaks and stuff but apparently it's a Mexican restaurant. Mike had some tacos and I had some enchiladas. It was soooooooo good. It's been a very long time since I have had Mexican food. It's kind of funny to think back to one of our first dates when Mike took me to the Mayan. I totally ordered chicken fingers and he and the waiter both mocked me for it. They said I was like a little kid... which I totally am so no worries lol. Anyway, after dinner we were going to go play at FatCats arcade but we were too stuffed. We decided to just walk around and hang out til about 9 when we picked Jaxson up from Lexi. We had such a fun time. Jaxson must have had fun too because he went to bed at about 10 and slept til about 830 this morning lol. I will say it's hard to leave Jaxson and go out even for a couple of hours. It's different when we go out on a Saturday or Sunday or something when I've seen Jaxson for most of the day but when we go out after work I feel like I haven't seen him in forever! Tonight I will have plenty of play time with Jaxson though because Mike has football practice after work so Lexi and I are taking the babies to Layton Park to feed the ducks and stuff. I'm so excited! Hopefully I'll remember to take some pictures while we're there.

Date Night "Numero Uno"

I pretend to know Spanish.

Mike and I are going on a date tonight. Thanks to my friend Lexi, Mike and I will be able to go on a date once a week. We're doing the baby swap thing lol. She'll watch Jaxson one night a week for me and I'll watch her daughter Sophie one night a week so she and her husband Denny can have their date night too. So far it has worked out nicely. For our date tonight Mike and I plan to go to dinner somewhere new to both of us then go to the arcade and play games or go bowling or something. I'm excited. Mike and I have not been out to eat hardly at all since Jaxson was born mostly because both of us agreed that we wouldn't take our kids to a restaurant until they were old enough to behave. I like going out to eat because someone else does everything and you just get to sit and enjoy. Having a young child there kind of messes with that whole thing lol. He'll have more fun playing at Lexi and Sophie's house anyway lol. I'm so excited for tonight! K, bye.

Awesome

Awesome selfies. I suck at the whole "selfie" thing, just ask Mike. He has to do all those lol. This time I actually did ok... thanks to cropping and stuff lol. Just wanted to share my awesomeness with you. That is all.

She's coming!!

Dawn's coming today.... I'm so retardedly excited.... BFFF!!!!! (best freaking friend forever)

It's getting hard to think of titles

So my kid is crawling...
Ok so he's not like "crawling" crawling... but he's totally doing that scooting army-crawl thing. It's freaking adorable! He's probably been doing it for a while but Mike and I realized he could do it last night. We put him on his belly and laid a few toys out in front of him. He scooted and crawled over to his toys. We got some of it on video, or at least we tried but as soon as Jaxson saw the camera he lost focus lol. He's doing so great. He sits up pretty well now too. He can't do it totally on his own yet, at least not for very long. He's gotten longer recently too because he no longer fits into his 0-3 month clothes. He's small enough for them but he's now too long for them. His heat rash has finally gone away completely. He had it for about 2 months this summer... poor kid. He didn't even get to wear a lot of his adorable summer clothes because it was just way too hot for clothes. He spent his summer mainly in a diaper usually with a damp washcloth on his chest. Looking back we had a great first summer with our boy. Next summer will be a whole new adventure with Jaxson walking. Freak! Kids grow up too fast lol.
Here are some recent pictures of Jaxson. These first 3 are a prime example of what happens when Jax notices the camera lol. He's all smiley then all the sudden he pulls this "huh?" face. It's pretty cute lol.

What a cutie! He's getting so big

Jaxson was sitting up all on his own in this picture. Mike tried to get a smile lol. This is a freaking cute picture if you ask me...

This picture of Jaxson was taken after he finished his bottle in his car seat. I wasn't paying enough attention and when I looked over all the sudden Jaxson was flipped around onto his belly and was trying to crawl out of the car seat. He thought he was so clever, just look at that mischievous grin.... Love that kid!

In other news, things have gotten better in the Colletti home. I was having a rough week and was feeling really down about work and home and everything. Mike and I sat down and talked this last weekend about things and he really put things in perspective for me. He helped me realize I was being way too hard on myself when it came to Jaxson and how we spent our time together. I think I got caught up in how the other mothers around me spend their time with their kids and I kept thinking about all the things I couldn't do instead of appreciating all the time I do have with Jaxson and enjoying it. Mike is so great. Thanks to him I'm feeling so much better about everything. We're planning another overnight camping trip this weekend to Pineview. Should be fun as long as it's not too cold. That's all for now!

PS... ok I lied that's not all for now... DAWN IS IN TOWN TOMORROW!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!

Dawn da Dawn Dawn DAWN!! ....and Derek lol

I just wanted to give a shout out to my best friend Dawn. She's one of the coolest people I know and she knows me better than I know myself. We've been friends since high school where we were on the same dance team. Back then we were both very different people. Since high school Dawn has met and married the love of her life Derek. You can just tell these two are in love. Dawn and Derek had their baby girl Liliana a week after Mike and I had Jaxson. Sadly, a few months after the babies were born Dawn and her family moved out to Virginia for Derek's new super-cool job. They've been out there for a little while and are settling in just fine. Dawn informed me a few weeks ago that she and her family have decided to take the next big step which is to be sealed together in the LDS temple. She is going through the temple today to receive her endowment (I think?) and then tomorrow they will be sealed. I just wanted to say congratulations to them and wish them the best on their special day. We love you guys!!!!

On a Lighter Note...

Here are some pics of my kid. These were all taken by a cell phone so don't judge lol.

This first one is of Jaxson sitting on his own... kinda. He was sitting there for a little while but Mike took too long to get his phone ready and Jax became more interested in looking at Dad being weird with his phone than he was about using his muscles to sit up. Luckily we took the picture before he totally gave up lol. Just for the record, even though in this picture I look like I have man-hands but I don't... it was a weird angle :)

I have no idea what he was doing when this picture was taken. Any guess as to what that facial expression is saying? lol

Jaxson sleeping in the chair with Dad. Don't most men fall asleep in their recliners? I know the Colletti men do...

Jaxson and Uncle Matt. When I first saw this picture I was like "oh how cute!" but then I looked closer... notice how Matt isn't looking at Jaxson he's looking at his cell phone behind Jaxson's head. Rude! lol

You don't have to read this one...

Ok this is a warning... this post is long and mildy depressing lol
I'm having a rough time again. It seems like I go through this every couple of weeks or so. The older Jaxson gets the more he learns and understands things. I just sucks that as he's growing up and learning all this stuff I'm not there with him. Don't get me wrong I'm so grateful that Jaxson can be with his dad during the day instead of having to go to daycare or something like that but it just gets to me every once in a while. Little things start to hurt my feelings like if Jaxson wants to go to Dad instead of sit with me or if he smiles at Mike and not me. I know it's dumb to let that get me down but it's hard not to. I get jealous that Mike gets to spend so much time with him and that Jaxson seems to know Mike more than he knows me. I'm sure a lot of this is in my head too and there's nothing to even be upset about. It's just one of those weeks I guess. Work unfortunately has a lot to do with my moods. I have been working at my job for almost 3 years now. They have had a work at home program here for about 2 years now. Until I got pregnant last year I had no intention of ever working from home. My plan was to move up in the company and try to get a position as a Tax Analyst or programmer or something (I work for a tax software developing company). Once I found out I was pregnant my plans changed from trying to advance within the company to trying to work it out so I could quit and be a stay at home mom. Well needless to say that hasn't worked out yet lol. In the mean time I decided to take a work at home position. I went home last December when I was still 6 months pregnant. While I was on my maternity leave, the department I work in decided that they would not be offering any work at home positions during the off season, only during tax season (Jan-Apr). It freaking sucked! I got to work from home for 2 weeks after my maternity leave before we had to come back in center to work. I have been working in center ever since. My work told us we would be able to return home this coming December or maybe even sooner. Well they have since changed their minds. Even better, they won't make up their minds about it either. We (the work at home employees) are stuck in the dark not knowing when or if we will be able to return home. Some people might think this isn't a big deal. To be honest it's not a big deal to everyone. There are a few people though who will be forced to quit because of their commute and other things. Just in case you're wondering there is a reason I brought all this up lol. This week rumors have been going around again that they won't let us go home. I decided to email my boss and ask him straight up what the plans are, basically to make myself feel better about the whole thing. His response wasn't very... what's the word... uplifting? He said the only way they will allow work at home employees is if there is no room in the building for them to sit... great. I work in tech support for a tax preparation software. Not only do you have to know about taxes, you have to know about computers too. It wouldn't be too intimidating but they don't hire the seasonal workers until like October or later so these new hires have to learn about taxes and computers in a matter of months. What ends up happening is half the people that are hired quit before the end of January. They can't deal with what they have to know and being slammed with calls from angry and anxious tax preparers. ANYWAY.... the point of all that is I'm sick of my work telling me one thing and doing another... that stress just makes my home life that much worse. In a perfect world I would be home being a full time mom to Jaxson and Mike would be working from home. Sorry to anyone who read this and feels like crap now too lol. I just had to get it out and now I have so hopefully I can just move on and have a good rest of the week. I wonder how many people go through these same things. It has to be a lot. I'm the most average freaking person I swear lol. I joke the family I grew up in was boring like the Brady Bunch only without the divorce and remarriage lol. This stuff probably happens to everyone... only I complain about it lol. Oh well I'm not erasing that huge long post now... :)

Sadness...

I've decided to sell my scooter. I bought it in Feb 08 off the internet lol. They shipped her to my house and I was soooo excited! I rode her to work when the high temp for the day was like 45 degrees just to show her off. I love my scooter but the truth is she's more bother than she's worth to me right now. Many of you know that I've had problems with the scooter since I bought it. I finally got almost everything working this year but then the registration expired and so did my permit and I'm too broke and too lazy to get it registered and get my license. So there you have it. No more pink scooter for Heather. If you or anyone you know might like an annoying but super fun pink scooter let me know lol.

Bear Lake Weekend

We had SUCH a fun weekend! Mike and I took Jaxson and the boys up to Bear Lake for a 3 day weekend. Mike's mom and brother Matt came with us in the RV on Friday morning. We didn't reserve a place so we got up there and spent about an hour or two looking for a place that could fit the RV and a few tents. While we were driving around like dorks and checking at every campsite by the lake I forgot that I had told my friends Lexi and Denny to meet us at our spot on the lake at like 1... it was like 230... OOOPS! My phone died on the way up there too... yikes my bad guys... Anyway they actually saw us driving around and caught up with us while we were looking for a spot at Camperworld (no go). We finally found a place called Fay's RV park or something like that but HUGE bummer.... no fire pit or ANYTHING! We had to take it because there was nothing else available. It sucked because all the food we brought was stuff to cook over the fire. We had the RV though so we used the stove to cook instead... it just wasn't the same! I was really looking forward to hot dogs and smores. Back to the story... We parked the RV and headed down to the lake. We went to the same spot we always go to only this time we got to rent wave runners. Mike rented one and his friend Glen (we all call him Bert but I guess he's trying to shake that nickname... don't have a clue as to why he would want to do that.... lol) got one too. We had the two of them for a couple of hours Friday and we had so much fun! After that we headed back to camp and thought about what to eat since we didn't have a fire. While we were waiting my friend Tina and her daughter Aspen came up with my other friends Matt and Tom. Most of the crew went around the corner and got pizza. After we ate it started to get pretty cold and Lexi and Denny decided to go home. They have a little girl that's about a year and a half old and she does best when she sleeps in her own bed (don't we all???). We were hanging out for a while and Tina, Aspen and Matt decided to head home too. It started getting really windy and cold as the storm was coming. It rained during the night but it wasn't too bad. Saturday was cold so we decided to take a drive up to Glacier Lake where we were going to take the dogs for a walk and everything. It was so beautiful out there! We got up to Glacier Lake and there was a family there that had a campfire going and offered it to us to get warm. We were hanging out there for a few minutes and the mom of the family grabbed some hot dogs and a roaster and handed it to us lol. It was so nice! We had our hot dogs and decided we should get back to camp since Grandma and Jaxson were there and it's a little bit of a drive up there. We got back to camp and Willey decided she was going to take off. I decided that if we didn't have a campfire there was no point in us staying out there either. Mike and Glen decided to drive an hour to Logan and look for a walmart and buy a fire pit. I love my husband! They found one! They brought it back and we had the freaking best time ever roasting hot dogs and marshmallows and making smores! It was just what I needed. The best part is we got to take the fire pit with us and we even used it last night on the deck and had more smores haha!! We had such a fun weekend. It was exactly what I needed. I love camping but I haven't really been able to go this year and taking Jaxson at such a young age always concerns me. You never know with kids! We didn't take very many pictures over the weekend but we were too busy having fun for picture time!

Family Update

Things are going good at the Colletti house. I"m still working my life away at TaxWorks or RedGear or H&R Block or whatever you want to call it lol. Mike decided to get on unemployment from being laid off from his last job. The good thing is he gets paid unemployment while he works for his dad at his dad's house. He'll be making more money and still be taking care of Jaxson too. We're planning a very fun trip to Bear Lake this weekend. Mike's parents recently bought and RV and they are nice enough to let us use for the weekend. The campsite we're going to up there is free too so the trip will cost almost nothing. I still haven't posted all the pictures from the last time we went to Bear Lake for just the day. Mike has them on his phone. Here are a few pictures Mike sent me today.
Jaxson just loves his daddy. They spend so much time together they've become great friends. Jaxson looks just like Mike too.

I wish we had a better camera! This is the perfect smiley picture.

This is the face he pulls right after he notices the camera or camera phone in your hand. Classic baby stuff lol

We have a few holidays coming up at our house. Our anniversary is this month and our birthdays are next month. I already bought my birthday present lol. I still have to find something to get Mike. I have a couple ideas so we'll see what happens there. K bye!
