Jaxson's New Skill!
So much has happened since my last post I'll have to break them up. I'll start with Jax who has mastered the art of standing up without holding onto anything. He can also do it all by himself! I'll turn around and instead of him crawling or sitting with his toys he'll be standing up next to them not holding on or anything! He can even regain his balance too which is so awesome! He still falls a lot but the whole diaper thing makes for an easy landing usually. I can't believe how much he's learned in the last couple of weeks. He's starting to paying attention to where I put things like my phone or whatever. I used to be able to just put it somewhere out sight and he'd forget it and move on to something else. Recently he's been watching me and the other day he totally saw me hide my phone under my coat and waited til I wasn't paying attention and made a break for it! Luckily I caught the little guy before too much slobber infested my pretty pink phone. He's also starting to use objects instead of just trying to eat them. He has a toy cell phone and he was hitting it on his toy piano to make it make noise instead of using his hands. Stuff like that is what creeps up on me. I notice the big stuff right away like crawling and standing but all the little things go unnoticed and pile up until one day I just look at my kid and he's older, smarter and bigger then he was before and I think "When did that happen?!" I'm sure I have LOTS more moments like that to come lol. We were able to get some pictures of Jaxson standing on his own the first time he did it all by himself so I'll post them when Mike sends them to me.

That's Right Baby! Booyah!
Mike started his new job today!! For those of you who don't already know the story here goes. Mike's previous employer wanted to make sure all his employees had a job when the shop was shut down. Mike told him he another job sort of lined up and to worry about the other guys first. Well Mike ended up getting laid off from the job he had lined up too and was unemployed until recently when his ex-boss called him and said he had a job for Mike. He had been looking for a job for Mike ever since he was laid off at the first of the year. He said he knew the type of Mike work did and wanted something he could advance in and that's why it took so long. I couldn't freaking believe it when Mike told me about the phone call. It seriously all happened in one morning. Mike called and told me his ex-boss called and had an interview set up at 2pm that day. Mike went in for the interview and called me at 216pm. I thought to myself it was either really good or really bad lol. It ended up being great! He had the job before he walked in the door and his new boss was so impressed with Mike (everybody is!) that he only needed 15 min to start the paperwork and 10 of that was him giving Mike a tour of the shop lol. I'm so freaking excited about this. What makes it even more "meant-to-be-ish" is the night before on the way home from work, I told Mike I had decided to reduce my work schedule to part time. He agreed with me and we started talking about how we were going to make up the extra 10 hours a week that I would no longer be working. The next day a job practically falls in Mike's lap and says "Pick me! Pick me!" Can we say "instant gratification?" lol. Mike's so glad to finally be working again. Not only does he get his alone time back, he's also working in a place that he can advance in. It's not like other shops where he already knew how to do everything the shop does. This time he's in a place that he can learn from and with every new job he learns comes more money too. This isn't even the end of the happy thought either! Mike's still trying out for college football which leads to other opportunities for our family. The Colletti family is on a new roller coaster and we're just starting the climb to the first big drop... Wish us luck!

Well That Sucks...
Well that sucks... My boss decided to end the work at home program we've had for about 3 years now. I never really wanted to work from home until I got pregnant and my priorities changed. I worked from home for the last 3 or so months of my pregnancy but by the time my maternity leave was up they had decided to pull the work at home people back in with promise of sending us back home come January. Well they changed their minds. No more working from home in my PJs. :( Stupid work. I was so upset about this when I found out because I REALLY hate being a full time working mom. I love Jaxson and I want to be the one to raise him. Mike and I talked about this for quite a while and at first it was more like a pity party than a conversation. It was full of "poor me's" and "it's not fair's" but in the end we came to realize how great we really have it. Mike and I are happily married with the most beautiful baby boy we could ever hope for. We have a roof over our head and food on the table. I want to be there with Jaxson but my job is to take care of him and make sure he's ok and right now that means working. How selfish would I be to quit or go part time before we can afford it? In the end that would only hurt Jaxson and my family. Mike and I are still working things out so I can go part time in January but I'm glad we sat down and talked about the real possibility that I will have to stay working full time. I know how hard it has been for him this whole time. If you know Mike you know he's not really the "stay-at-home-Dad" type of guy lol. He's so excited for January to come. He and his brothers are trying out for Weber State and U of U's football teams. He's almost positive he will make Weber's team but I'm making sure he doesn't just settle for the first thing that comes around. Mike going to school is one of the best things he can do for this family and I'm SO excited for him! Since he's Navajo there are additional scholarships he can apply for and all that. He's been talking to counselors and stuff to get ready and because of his GPA and high test scores it will be very easy for him to get enough money to pay for school and probably living expenses too. As soon as I decide what I want to go to school for I'll be there with him. Too bad we got a 5 year late start on the college thing but better late than never, right? :)

Jaxson's Halloween
Jaxson had 3 Halloween costumes this year. One of them was a frog costume that I already posted pictures of here. The other two were a skeleton and a penguin. My favorite was the penguin by far. If I had known how freaking cute it was I would have dressed him in that for my work party instead of the frog...
Anyway here's my super-adorable Jaxson in his penguin costume. It's not possible for him to get any more perfect!

Love that expression!

Here's a picture of the kids all dressed up for Halloween. It was too warm in there from all the people so I took Jax's frog costume off. We had such a fun Halloween this year. Mike and I have already thought of a couple of ideas for next year that include crab people lol. We'll see what we can come up with by then.

Here are some pictures we have taken over the last couple of weeks. Jaxson is learning so many new things to fast it's hard to keep track. The day after he crawled on his hands and knees he started standing up to anything and everything. He's getting really good at it and has even stood on his own for a few seconds here or there. He has to be really interested in something so he forgets he's standing. It's pretty funny.

Look Mom, one hand!
He was so proud of himself up there. He got up all by himself without smacking his head on the glass lol. One in a row!
It was getting close to bed time and Jaxson was being really grumpy. He didn't want me to sit down or put him down or anything. He loves looking out the window so that helped him relax enough to fall asleep.
This is the proud face of a kid who crawled over to his dad and stood up all on his own!
I love love LOVE this kid's smile!!
This was SO funny! I gave Jax some of my sherbet and he decided he wanted all of it lol. I tried to take it away but he had other plans... lol

Halloween Party Pictures
Mike and I had such a fun time for Halloween this year. Last year I was all pregnant and didn't want to go all out since the costume I wore was probably only going to fit one year (I usually reuse them) so we just did some family stuff and handed out candy. This year we decided to get a babysitter and have a party! OMG I had such a good time! Here are some pics:
Mike and I were referees this year. I like to match every year just like most chicks lol. Man I just LOVE my husband! Isn't he dreamy?? (don't answer that... lol)
Here I am with Courtney (left) and Mikell. Don't let the picture fool you, Mikell is a shrimp just like Court and me she just had some super hot boots on :)

Mikell and my new black friend Charles who went as a white guy for Halloween lol. Best part is, that's not his real hair but it totally looks like it lol. I love that he lets me call him names that would probably offend normal people. He's proud to be my only black friend since Kateva in elementary lol. It's really not my fault people, I do live in Utah after all... I think Charles is the 10th black person I've ever seen in real life... haha jk
